Antwerp at Work, Rest, and Play

About Harry van Voorden
Harry van Voorden is a retired art director and graphic designer. He took his first photograph of Antwerp and its people on a class trip when he was eighteen. He never stopped photographing it. Today, based in Antwerp, Belgium, he has quietly documented the life of the city in black-and-white photography that captures its architecture, workers, and streetscapes with understated beauty and gentle humor. Schooled in analog photography and design, he avoids post-processing and digital alterations, preferring the traditional (and difficult) art of capturing the moment.

Exhibition and Publication
Exhibition Partnerships
We are seeking exhibition partners to share the unique perspective of Antwerp at Work, Play, and Rest. Carefully composed images offer a fresh and nuanced portrayal of the city's architecture, daily life, and public spaces.

Book Development
With a book version in development, we are excited to bring Antwerp at Work, Play, and Rest to life. Interest from both American and Belgian publishers is driving this project forward.
